CHRISTIAN FORMATION: MINISTRY WITH CHILDREN & YOUTH
St Andrew’s Episcopal Church is blessed by the presence of young people among us.
It is our common goal to provide a foundation in faith for future generations.
Children in preschool through 5th grade gather for a time of singing, praying, or playing at 9:45 a.m. in the parish hall. From there, students break into their respective classrooms at 10 a.m. Children may also arrive at 10 a.m. and be welcomed into their class. They are reunited with their families before communion.
Infants & Toddlers
Childcare is available for infants and toddlers in the nursery, located on the first floor next to the restrooms. Parents are welcome to drop their children off before the service, or may enter throughout the service if needed.
6th – 12th Grade: Grand Rapids Episcopal Youth/G.R.E.Y.
This is the weekly meet up for this joint ministry with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. To ensure age-appropriate content, the middle and high school groups meet separately to pray, play, connect and share. Each week, a mindfully selected curriculum helps them explore issues of faith, learn more about the Bible, and discover how to use all of this to discern God’s plan for them today.
